Welcome to ‘De Appelgaard (the apple orchard)

‘De Appelgaard’, our guest farm, is uniquely located in the splendid Krimpenerwaard on the banks of the Hollandse IJssel (Holland IJssel). Please allow us to introduce ourselves: Piet and Marja Blanken, your hosts. We raise young cattle and keep 45 breeding sheep on the farm.

The Krimpenerwaard is the rural area to the south of Gouda, to the east of the Rotterdam conurbation and bordered by rivers on three sides. A large part of it has been designated as a nature reserve and, as a result, there are endless possibilities for cycling, walking, sailing and other recreational activities in the area.
