Boerderij Akkerlust

Our "Akkerlust" South-Holland farm is situated in the typical ribbon village of Stompwijk, close to the sea, in the middle of natural surroundings, near the major towns of The Hague, Zoetermeer and Leiden, about 700 metres from the Vlietlanden recreational area and the Leidschendammerhout natural park.

Our farmhouse dates from 1765 and is still operational as a dairy farm. We have 85 milking cows and we are the fifth generation of our family to live here. In earlier times it was a tenant farm owned by a landowner in the Hague. My grandfather, Piet van Boheemen (the 3rd generation), was able to buy the farm.
